"The subject of my next book: "If I Had A Son: Race, Guns, and the Railroading of George Zimmerman." The trial is in June, the book to follow shortly thereafter."
This revelation comes as some say the Trayvon Martin Killing Case Against George Zimmerman is beginning to unravel . . . And remember that last year the rally for Trayvon was the biggest political gathering in Kansas City with Mayor Sly leading a call for solidarity . . . In the name of what cause I have no idea.
On a sad note . . .
It looks like Mr. Cashill rejected a TKC suggestion for the book title regarding the Trayvon killing . . . Skittles: They'll Kill You!!!

The truth is that the main witness other than the dead teenager and the accused is a woman who claims to be on the phone with the victim (hearsay exception).
They investigate her and it turns out that she lied about being in the hospital during Treyvon's funeral, a lie she had no reason to make, thus calling her credibility into question.
I hope you're being ironic asking what race has to do with this. This was a big racial issue and the media and Jack are milking it for all it's worth.
So does Cashill ever say how much actual investigation and research went into latest book? Or is he once again writing off the top of his head from half a continent away?

I am going to try to work a miracle and raise serious points in a post about Jack Cashill.
It is quite interesting that Zimmerman's lawyers won't be using a "Stand Your Ground" defense, but will instead rely on straight self-defense.
In a straight self-defense case, you can't instigate a confrontation then claim self-defense. Kinda like the old cliche of killing your parents then begging for mercy because you're an orphan.
Also, a self-defense claim shifts the burden of proving self-defense onto the defense. He had better hope that every piece of corroborating evidence holds up against it.
The prosecution claims that Zimmerman left his truck against the instructions of the police to confront Martin with a loaded weapon, some sort of fight ensued, and Martin wound up dead.
Zimmerman's story is that he left his truck when Martin began running away, couldn't find him, and was walking back to his truck when Martin jumped him.
