Kansas City Dead Tree Media Delivery Issues
Bottom Line Communications takes apart a PR presser from the KC Star Prez and provides an IMPORTANT reality check: "Ironically, to newspaper readers the snowstorms showed how behind the news curve newspapers are these days. Not only is the printed paper nearly a full day behind the 24/7 news cycle under normal circumstances, but during the storm it was not delivered to many customers on at least two occasions.

Neither was the mail. Or trash pickup. Whats your point?
The last time we had a storm that made newspaper delivery impossible our carrier delivered the missed p[aper with the next day's delivery. This time we were just screwed, and I doubt that the Star will extend our subscriptions three days.
I know this is a small, insignificant matter in the overall scheme of things, but it's an example of how business are run these days.
I'm so pleased to report that I finally located my newspaper from Thursday, Feb. 21. Thursday's breaking news was excavated yesterday from beneath three feet of snowplow pile-up that had frozen solid along the curb of my front yard. I did unfold this soggy mess and discovered that a snowstorm was expected that day, and the next day, and the next week, too. Thanks for the scoop!
