It was a standing room only crowd Wednesday night as the majority of the agenda for the Overland Park public safety committee went to the dogs. The item of so much interest is a proposal to charge pet foster homes $50 up front and another $25 every year in new fees.
And I guess taxpayer rage against higher doggie fees is a start to more civic engagement or maybe just a reality check regarding for pet owners too immersed in concern over fur-balls.
