And while it's nice to witness more tech in Kansas City that isn't related to pyramid marketing schemes . . .
There should be a word of caution . . .
ALONG WITH THE TECH BOOM IN THE KANSAS CITY CROSSROADS THERE'S ALSO A CRIME SPIKE UNDERWAY!!!
At the outset of this year there has been a notable uptick in robbery of small merchants catering to the local biz class. At night, an increased gunfire reports have emerged and generally the local criminal class also seem to be aware of more people with money hanging out in the Crossroads.
While these problems aren't insurmountable . . . Let's also consider that new denizens of the Crossroads are fresh from the suburbs where crime concern is only something they have watched on TV News.
And so . . . Tech hype regarding the bright, shining, future for the Internets might or might not come to pass but what's certain is that increasing local crime in this area is a fact of life that accompanies this so-called Kansas City Tech Boom.

Crime wave has already defined Kansas City. Just look to the FBI crime data for proof. Also google the term "Killa City" and there you'll find the legacy of Kansas City Negros.
Here's the real news TKC. Downtown will get a Trader Joe's in 2014 after they break ground on the toy train.
Hold your breath and wait for it.
Crossroads wants the west side. They will get it.
Where there is tech you can count on an increase in crime. Go to Silicon Valley and look at the security setups and staffs in tech businesses out there. Security better be seriously or the crooks and criminals will have a field day.
