TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! KANSAS CITY INSIDER REAX TO MAYOR SLY FIRE PRESSER!!!

The JJ's press conference is still creating waves among Kansas City political insiders and here's a thoughtful perspective from a very insightful Kansas City insider that we hadn't considered:

"Mayor Sly James pushed his way to the front of that press conference for the JJ's fire in a way that didn't really show respect for the new Fire Chief (Berardi). It was a shame to see the guy (KCFD Chief Berardi) just nodding his head in agreement as (Mayor) Sly simply wanted to take center stage."

More . . .

"Whether he realized it or not, what (Mayor) Sly did was to show that he didn't have enough confidence in the New Chief to simply let him do his job. The Mayor doesn't know the first thing about fire suppression or the very complicated investigation into the explosion. When Kansas City needed details about the timeline of the tragedy and emergency evacuation policy, (Mayor) Sly just wanted the spotlight and stepped in front of the experts."

Behind the scenes . . . This important insight shows the KCFD might appreciate Mayor Sly wearing their gear but that token gesture might not be as important as letting them do their job.

Sly is the money badger. He don't give a fuck. It's all Sly all the time.

The new chief was embarrassing himself.

NO QUESTIONS PLEASE. SLY IS IN CHARGE

"letting them do their job. "

If they had taken charge of the scene when they first arrived, they would have done their job. They didn't.

It's called grandstanding. Hogging the spotlight.

Sly is trying to cover for his lying, cheating friends at JJ's! Why do you think the employees who got hurt didn't want media attention? It's because they were mostly illegal aliens!

Mr. JJ just conveniently happened to be out of town? BULLSHIT!

Ask those boys at Cordish who the last man standing will be!

Sly is a waste. When is the Mayoral election? I want his black ass out!

Now you see where "Sly Junior" gets it

5:22, Berardi is doing a good job. For cripes sake, give the guy a chance. He is barely named chief and has to deal with a major catastrophe. He's 100 times better than Smokey.

I frankly kinda wondered why the KCFD was so quick to leave the scene before the explosion but with so much gas smell around.

Ya know, nobody in the media ever questions fire department malpractice. Is it that they don't know or they'd rather stay on the good graces of firemen (and cops) because TV stations depend on access to bright pretty flames and crime scenes and prejudicial suspect facts for their nightly news?

Given that neither Sly nor the Chief had a fucking thing to actually say it is a mute point.

Is he wearing the fire shirt to prove the FD can fit fat firemen, too?

With respect toward Chief Berardi, he seemed uncomfortable at every news conference (the night of the fire and the morning after, especially). He said "uhh" more than anything else, and didn't come across at all as the department chief. No wonder Sly James ran roughshod over him.

Uhh is union speak for mind your own fucking business. Ahh is Circo-speak for harder, faster, deeper.

The Mayor should be impartial when it comes to public safety. Too late for that.

5:36 - get off your meds. The wait staff for JJ's was all white. You're an insane person. Please stay off the Internet for your own safety.

Dear 6:00.

The word isn't "a mute point".

It's "a moot point."

You're showing your ignorance. Look it up and never made that mistake again! To give you a hint, "mute" (pronounced M-Yuuut) means 'silent. "He was mute." (He didn't say anything, or He can't speak).

Moot, means "it doesn't matter anymore." (Filing murder charges against this man is MOOT because he's dead.)

In all fairness, nobody wants to listen to a stammering 5 foot dago with a mildly gay lisp for too long.

You just feel bad for the little guinea after a while. I mean, everyone knows they're stupid, and that the KCFD is basically affirmative action for retarde KC fake italians, but jesus, he sound like he's trying to explain three contributions of Italian americans to our culture besides pretending to be in the mob, pretending to be related to people in the mob and making bad ethnic food.

Not one minority? Fuck 'em then! Fuck them all!

Nobody should Monday morning quarterback after a tragedy such as this, but read Steve Vockrodt's timeline from the Business Journal. It's enlightening. Why did KCFD Pumper 19 hit JJ's, only to return to service one minute after MGE's first responder arrived? Why did it take another 15+ minutes for MGE's second responder to arrive, and another 15+ minutes for their third? With the strong smell of gas, why did KCFD not stick around?

Between MGE and KCFD, was anyone not smart enough to turn off the freaking gas to JJ's, a building with dozens of potential igniters?

I think they were scared.

10:49, scared if what? Taking smart, preventative action? Was KCFD so scared that's why Pumper 19 left within one minute if MGE arriving?

Never *make that mistake again.......FAIL!!

Moot point, I know it looks weird, but it's moot

Given the poor decission made by the kc fire crew to leave the sceen, perhaps the kc fire department should not be doing any investigation. Conflict of interest. Time to step aside and avoid the conflict of interest charge.

Mike Burke is looking better all the time. But too late.

It is comforting to know that there are so many arm chair quarterbacks out there who were not on the scene, have no clue about how natural gas acts and have zero training in any type of emergency services or protocols of how to assess these situations.

It is easy to sit behind a computer and say this is what should have happened, but you do not know the facts about how the situation unfolded. More details will come out as the investigation unfolds.

Do you know what the gas levels were when kcfd arrived?

Do you know what the gas levels were when kcfd left the scene?

Did you know that the gas leak wasn't even in JJ's, it was in the ally?

Did you know that turning off the gas to JJ's made no difference in what happened?

When you can't even answer these questions, how can you, sitting at home, watching the news channels who have a majority of the story incorrect, say what should have been done that night.

You have no idea.

Cordish did it! They blew it up. It's those Irish mafia boys from Boston again!

That isn't saying much.
