TKC EXCLUSIVE AND BREAKING NEWS!!! CONTROVERSY CONTINUES IN THE SEARCH TO REPLACE REV. STAN ARCHIE ON THE MISSOURI STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION!!!
Recently, Kansas City Area Rev. Stan Archie resigned from his position as President of the Missouri State Board Of Education following allegations of sexual misconduct.
And now . . .
TKC TIPSTERS TELL US ABOUT THE SEARCH TO REPLACE REV. ARCHIE THAT MIGHT INCLUDE CANDIDATES WITH PROBLEMS OF THEIR OWN!!!
STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION
"Dr. Marge Williams, former Superintendent of Hickman Mills School District, has been mentioned as a replacement for Reverend Stan Archie on the Missouri State Board of Education. Apparently, those individuals don’t know that based on performance during her tenure as superintendent, the Hickman Mills School District lost full accreditation. Additionally, she has filed a discrimination complaint against the School Board. Dr. Williams, who is black, is alleging that the Board on which 5 of the 7 members are black, discriminated against her on the basis of race.
The Governor should be concerned about appointing a former Superintendent whose district lost accreditation based on performance during her tenure to the state board responsible for accrediting school districts. A state education board member embroiled in employment litigation with a school district could also be problematic."
What's the lesson here?
Public education in Missouri is fraught with political peril and, in this case, it's important not to follow one mistake with another.
