Mayor Sly James is at the scene right now and delivered a few remarks about meeting with the owner and working with KCFD.
Authorities say that the gas lines which are thought to have started the blaze are cut off.
I've heard 3 (now listed as 1) unaccounted for but some mainstream media newsies are saying no fatalities officially reported so far . . .

ReplyDeleteJJ's employees had asked patrons to leave due to the strong smell of gas. The employees were in the process of turning off everything when an explosion rocked the restaurant and the ceiling collapsed.
Four of JJ's employees were critically injured and one employee had been unaccounted for.
Good job!!!! JJ Employees.
