TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY PUSHES EVICTION TO MAKE WAY FOR THE NEW KCPD EAST PATROL AMID A SNOW STATE OF EMERGENCY!!!

Kansas City is preparing for a SNOW EMERGENCY right now but one resident is facing a City Hall eminent domain crackdown that could leave her homeless by the end of the week.

To wit . . .

IN ORDER TO MAKE WAY FOR THE KCPD EAST PATROL . . . KANSAS CITY IS MOVING FORWARD WITH AN EVICTION OF A RESIDENT DURING THIS SNOW STATE OF EMERGENCY!!!

We've sent a few messages and here's what we know so far . . .

- Not all residents now making way for the new East Patrol have received the same treatment. In fact . . .

MORE THAN A FEW FOLKS CLAIM CITY HALL HAS NOT PAID OR DISTRIBUTED RELOCATION BENEFITS THAT WERE PROMISED AS PART OF THIS DEAL!!!

- Residents feel like there may be a bit of "payback" at play given an association with the "Recall Reed" movement.

- Finally, this thing is still in court . . . Residents lost a recent motion but there are than a few things to consider before this eviction.

And so . . .

KANSAS CITY IS SET TO ENFORCE AN EVICTION ON 2/28/13 . . . WHICH SHOULD BE LONG BEFORE THE SNOW HAS CLEARED!!!

More . . .

I've spoken with the homeowner in this case and she feels "intimidated and harassed" by the City's use of eminent domain in this instance. As for the pending eviction, she says: "With 10 more inches of snow forecast and two days where everything was down last week; There's no way humanly possible that I can be out by the deadline."

And so while Kansas City stocks up on groceries as the storm approaches, it's important to realize that there are some folks simply attempting to keep a roof over the heads of their family while City Hall refuses to stop an eviction during this Snow State Of Emergency.

DEVELOPING . . .

  3. Troy has been working on THIS and they are not clearing neighborhood streets of snow or picking up the garbage?

Meanwhile the council is getting their groove on at a party for Ed Ford.

No writer would have the nerve to make this shit up.

  4. First....the streets from 26th to 27th, Brooklyn to Prospect are clear of snow. 1 person lives in this 3 block radius, and yet this one person's streets are clear. My neighborhood is still yet to have a CITY plow come through from the first snow. WTF....
Second....she's pretty sure there is no way she can be out by the end of the week? Really? I'm pretty sure the entire city has seen her eviction coming for over a year now. She is not a victim, get your shit and get out. She isn't going to win this fight. You can argue the semantics of why the new EPD is being placed where it's at on a different post. Follow the money Tony, that would be a real story.

  5. Get out in a Blizzard? Nobody should be treated that way. A small extension due to weather is completely appropriate, humane and in the best interest of the public.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Holy shit, how long does a person get. This is liberal logic at it's finest. Had she vacated the area when asked to do so she would not be in this situation. I refer you to more liberal logic. Hurricane Katrina. The President tells you to leave, the Governor, the Mayor say the same thing. Yet when the flooding comes and the world is ending, it's now everyone elses fault for your lack of decision making capabilities. My bad, lets give you a new home, a new car, and more money to get you back on your feet to make this situation right. She's had a year, it's time to go. Sure it sucks that it's the week of a blizzard, but I was always taught you live with the decisions you make in life. She made her bed, she can lay in it.

  7. If there are TV cameras Sly will be there. Oh wait- it's on the eastside only thing that might get the TV crew there is a murder not an eviction and definitely not Sly.

  9. Check the facts. The truth is, she was the owner of the property through November 2012. How does that total a year? Nobody can ask anyone to leave, particularly their own home, without a Court order or state of emergency; neither of which existed a year ago.

    "She is not a victim"

Apparently, she's not human either. There's NO WAY a person would reasonably be enabled to move during a snow storm. It just isn't reasonable. Think about it, there were people who couldn't make it home from work last week.

This is not rational! Like Tony has eluded, there has to be some underlying motive behind this. I'm interested in knowing what it is.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Has sanity and common sense taken a leave of absence from City Hall? Even if she has had a year, give her a break, Jesus, there's a fucking blizzard going on!

    ReplyDelete
  12. When vendettas are being used to replace law and reasonable skill and care, you could say sanity is absent in this instance. The City may suffer dearly behind this move. Hopefully, they know and understand what they've done and it doesn't cost taxpayers in the end.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I agree 11:58, except for one thing. This isn't "liberal logic." It's "libertarian logic."

Or as expressed by a famous "conservative": "Government isn't the solution to problems. Government is the problem."

    That's become Tony's theme song.

  14. I bet it sucks to be a nigger!2/25/13, 12:25 PM

Niggers hating other niggers and using the government to do their street justice. Cannibals! Niggers aren't human and the sooner everyone realizes it the better. That way there's no expectation of being fair, rational or just. It's cold outside and winter weather advisories are looming. This is how niggers males treat their nigger women.

She lives in the Sante Fe Neighborhood Association where she served recently as the vice president. All posturing to hold the city hostage for more money. She is already getting more than double what her house is worth.

    It's fuckin awful.

There must have been a beter way.

Plus, those shithole houses don't cost anything in property taxes and are cheap to maintain from a "Who gives a fuck" perspective.

  25. Kansas City Neighborhoods2/25/13, 1:21 PM

There's so much speculation. She acted as Secretary in Santa Fe. Most neighborhoods in this area don't have concerned citizens who volunteer to keep the neighborhoods in tact. Most of the neighborhoods in the area have neighborhood leaders who don't reside in the community because of the lack of community support. I understand that she has been quite an asset to Santa Fe but also works in various other neighborhoods in Kansas City.

This is no way to treat a neighborhood volunteer. My understanding is that she wants to keep her house. It's not for sale which is the reason the City sued.

  26. I heard Rev. Miles was spearheading the whole development. All of his friends and cronies got nice contract packages just for being friends with Miles. Its said that they're the ones calling for the harassment of this resident. There's some conflict that is unresolved. Tony, should be following the money... very little made it to the affected stakeholders. Now, the Police are talking about incorporating a community center into the police station for Miles and his Church to use. That's the back story... so I hear.

There was plenty of time to prepare for a blizzard! I mean, hell, she controls mother nature, is a horse whisperer and can communicate with other worldly spirits. There's some real stupidity and hatred on this blog.

    Where is the missing $15K?

If I find it, can I have more time to move out or will Councilman Brooks have my legs broken while I try shlepping all my shit out of the house?

Is it possible that Mayweather could come by and help me?

Maybe there could be a gas leak at my address and when the KCFD shows up I will tie all my shit to their trucks so when they ignore the gas hazard and roll out of here headed to lunch all my shit will trail behind them.

  35. I drove the entire 4 block area last night, literally every single house is vacant and wide open. She is full of shit, she has had at least a year, she needs to give it up. The city just needs to go in and start leveling shit on Saturday. Fuck this one person, fuck Rev. Miles, Alvin Brooks and every other piece of shit activist that is getting cash for making the deal across the street from Rev. Miles church. Brilliant move by the city, putting the new EPD 15 blocks east and 4 blocks north of an existing police station. Fucking brilliant. There is definately no other area further east that the city could have utilized. Follow the money Tony, quit doing bullshit stories about some stupid money grubbing whore who doesn't even currently live in the house she claims she is living at.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Where is the 15K???

    ReplyDelete
  37. I do know with certainty that there have been at least 5 homeowners in the area that stayed well past their proposed vacate dates. The City's interaction with those residents was amicable and they negotiated on a date of possession. Putting someone out in weather like Kansas City is expecting is inhumane. Somebody should file a complaint against the City and its staff for doing this.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Even better, the actual EPD building will be in CPD. So will CPD officers have to handle all the walk in reports at EPD? This whole city is full of fucking retards.

    ReplyDelete
  39. No one is living there!!!!!!!! Put her address on here and I'll go do a residence check right now.

  40. No word from Sly on this subject? Where's the media blitz about this situation? This really makes him look worse... he can't control the City, can't reason with homeowners, avoids neighborhoods like the plague and flies under the radar whenever convenient. That's real leadership! Looking to Sly as a leader to resolve this conflict now is like looking for a cure to heart disease.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Tony you should do a story about Jason Parson's office acting as a front man for the white firm that didn't meet section 3 requirements.

  42. +1 3:35pm And who got him the gig? Ties into a lot of what commenters have been saying all along about this project. Something is quite shifty about all of it. So, most of the naysayers spend a lot of time going after this resident for trying to bring it to light. I support her 100% and hope this ends well.

    ReplyDelete
  43. She is not making a statement, she is a money grubbing whore. She probably got cut out of the deal by Rev. Miles and Alvin Brooks, so she is trying to make waves now to get more money. She needs to get evicted this week and the new station needs to start being built in April. That gives Tony 2 months to start finding out who is getting all the money for putting the station where it's at. Tony, do some actual investigating for once and blow this shit up. I want to see Alvin Brooks get probation for money laundering.

She's been offered almost double what the house is worth but has mortgaged the house for way above any reasonable estimate of its worth and is upside down in it.
