However . . . Most locals simply watch Channel 9 out of habit and because this town loves Larry Moore.

Online they're going link for link with an advantage to Fox4 because they have a much cleaner feed and are far more web savvy than both The Star and KCTV5 who and recycle bloat RSS like noobs.
On air, it's a different story . . . Give KCTV5 the edge with more urgent sounding anchors, better live shots and newsies pounding the pavement for a different angle.
Yes, the ratings are the ultimate prize in this contest but what's even more fun is newsies on local streets engaging in a bit of competition and maybe hurting some feelings.

Fox 4 is almost at the level of Mike Judges Fox in the movie Idiocracy. Few more notches down and we won't be able to tell the difference between the movie and reality.

ReplyDeleteNBC Action News had the best coverage in the last 48 hours - the Plaza explosion AND the winter storm. As importantly as providing the clearest shots and the best interviews, they knew when to quit (which KMBC didn't). The once alternative Channel 41 news folks have more than proven they can run with the big dogs. They are now the big dog.
