THE WEEK WHEN KANSAS CITY MOURNED ADELE HALL AND 7 HOMICIDE VICTIMS!!!

Death was no stranger in Kansas City this week.

A spate of 7 homicides rocked Kansas City as questions about crime-fighting strategy from local politicos and authorities started to surface from the community.

Meanwhile . . .

Kansas City high society lost one of their matriarchs.

Now, TKC took a bit of heat for employing Adele Hall's death as a satirical device for social commentary even though it's doubtful that any of her relatives or loved ones read this blog.

In the aftermath, a few of you d-bags who weren't related to the lady threw a hissy fit and quickly wished death my way in a typically classy, misinformed and mostly wrongheaded Internets move.

More importantly . . .

TKC'S MOM THREW HER SHOE AT YOUR (SOMEWHAT) FEARLESS LEADER BECAUSE SHE HAD WON A SCHOLARSHIP FROM ADELE HALL DURING HER HIGH SCHOOL YEARS AND APPARENTLY LOVED THE OLD BROAD!!!

Because I'm quicker than I look and this basement is always kinda dark, the shoe didn't connect.

But TKC accepts the criticism.

Still, I stand by my point that upper-class death in Kansas City at a ripe-old age is lovingly eulogized while denizens of the urban core are killed by the hundreds year after year and mostly remain nameless numbers rattled off by mainstream media without much memorial consideration.

If I ever come into contact with Hall's family (doubtful), I probably owe them an apology for the clumsy rhetorical tactic employed on this dumb-ass blog but I'd advise the rest of you d-bags with no direct connection not to hold your breath.

Nevertheless . . .

This was a week of tragedy in Kansas City as death reached out to touch Kansas City's upper-class and urban core alike . . .

Fact is if you don't like working there get another job. I'm sure somebody else be happy to take your position. And if you use to work there and wasn't happy about it I am sure you are as well bitching about the place you work at now.

  22. Adele Hall was a tireless volunteer for this area. How her father-in-law and husband ran Hallmark was, I'm sure, out of her hands. And as a freelancer who got treated like crap by Hallmark, I've been there, done that. It still doesn't take away from all the good works Mrs. Hall did.

To 7:33, you're absolutely wrong. Many non-rich people are celebrated in KC for their contributions, and we don't always wait until they're dead to do it. Several are in the black community. Just because you're not rich doesn't mean you can't do good things.

  23. Fuck the Hall family and fuck the Kemper families and fuck all the other elite families of Kansas City. They support the arts, don’t they? Yeah and they allow idiots to run City Hall, the polelease [that’s police for anyone who did not go to a KCPS] and KCPS. They only use their power and influence for themselves and it makes me since when I hear one of these fuckers talk about giving back to the community. The infighting between all the families is why all of the city between downtown and Crown Center looks so desolates and why there is a College Blvd area in Overland Park. Have the Hall and Kemper families made Kansas City Missouri a better place? No and I meant that as a rhetorical question.
