The Latest Kansas City Housing Scheme

Take a look at Kansas City's most recent plan to get rid of homes that have been abandoned and obviously hold little to no value . . .

Program hopes to revive vacant homes

Money quote for Kansas City hope and change via the homesteading authority . . .

"We strive to turn blighted properties into neighborhood assets by obtaining the properties and selling them at discounted prices to homeowners and investors who are committed to improving the community."

Forget the contradiction in this statement and/or a simple question . . . Who would want to buy homes that have been abandoned or left vacant anyhoo???

Nope, just focus on Kansas City's neighborhood turnaround devised by politicos that should come any day now . . . Just don't hold your breath.

Biggest blights in my neighborhood are the abandon schools and churches. Once Sly is done with the streetcar and new convention center hotel, maybe he will deal with this (something that would help the taxpayers of KCMO)
