This is important and hilarious for a lot of reasons but here's the main one . . .
BEFORE ANYBODY ELSE TKC INSIDERS INFORMED US THAT THE FIRST BUDGET MEETING WAS A LOVE-FEST AND A BIT OF A KANSAS CITY CAKEWALK BUT WORD IS ALREADY OUT THAT THE NEXT NORTHLAND BUDGET HEARING SHOULD BE TENSE!!!
And it's not like folks from The Northland don't have a right to complain given that most of the work of the Mayor and Council is focused on the Toy Train and pretty much ignores anything on the other side of the river.
Nevertheless, Mayor Pro Tem Cindy citing her school schedule to get her out of a budget debate strikes more than a few Kansas City Insiders as yet another local political lesson in misplaced priorities.
