No, this isn't a band but a great profile on KCPT featuring one of my heroes along with tributes to other inspiring Kansas City women:
KC Maker: Ramona Arroyo - The Local Show
More KCPT detail on a lady we always felt should have been promoted even higher:
"Our MAKER spent 30 years on the Kansas City Missouri police force and while you may not know her name or may have never heard her story, Ramona Arroyo is the first Hispanic woman to become a sergeant with the KCPD."
Other profiles worth checking . . .
KC Makers Dodie Jacobi
KC Maker: Suzanne Gladney - The Local Show
Just how stupid does "Sergeant Ramona" sound?? Kinda like "Officer Peggy"...
ReplyDeleteNot as stupid as “Captain Dick“ which is what 9:22 aspires to be!
ReplyDeleteMona should have been promoted. Good for her to have received this honor. Thanks for posting, T.
Dodie is a self serving cunt. Don't be fooled by her game. She is a liar just like her sperm drop brother.
ReplyDeleteI love Ramona, but we should not give spots due to race. Lets put the best person there. I know, this is a hard concept to understand.
ReplyDeleteIts that kind of racist attitude is why she never got past Sgt, if she were black she would be Deputy Chief, just ask Julia Bush!
ReplyDeleteI really liked Ramona, but she was over her head as a sergeant. Her real claim to fame was shooting her girlfriend in the stomach during an argument and getting off on self defense. Otherwise, she didn't do anything to distinguish herself, hispanic or not.
