LISTENING TO KANSAS CITY

Check out this artsy, local, experimental audio project . . .

Kansas City SoundWalk

Description:

"Flourish is a collaborative performance that explores a real-time relationship between audio and visual form and structure. A computer-vision-based computational system created by Alex Braidwood is applied to the drawing process of Meredith Lynn Morrison. The form, scale and location of marks drawn by Meredith are analyzed and used to develop audio compositions from a series of Alex’s embellished noises."

In other words, most denizens of this blog aren't going to "get it" but it's still worth a look/listen.

If you want "embellished noises" (and have a really strong stomach) go read a Yael Abracadabra or Dirty Mary Sanchez article out loud.
