KANSAS CITY TECH HISTORY: CHECK THESE OLD SCHOOL STREETCAR PIX!!!

Kansas City used streetcars long ago and right now the Public Library offers a peek at long ago glory days of an outdated form of transit that could be coming back to (a small stretch of) local streets at an exorbitant cost.

Fine Rides: Kansas City’s Streetcars

Currently, we're hopeful that a legal block to this insider effort to bring outdated tech back to Kansas City is successful in thwarting illegal "stacking" of taxes and so many other misdeeds.

KC had a fantastic streetcar system.
The old streetcar tracks could've lasted forever.
City couldn't wait to tear them out.
Then, within a couple years of yanking the tracks, the first whining about KC needing mass transit started.

old technology won't fix kc's long standing problems.

The legal challenge is a sound one. Note that the judge did not throw it out as frivolous as some of OUR public servants at City Hall have stated.
