KANSAS CITY MAYOR SLY JAMES TALKS LOCAL GUN CONTROL CRACKDOWN!!!

Kansas City Mayor Sly James has made a number of bold statements regarding gun control as of late and in the midst of an exceptionally violent week in Kansas City.

To wit . . .

ONCE AGAIN KANSAS CITY MAYOR SLY JAMES IS PUSHING GUN CONTROL IN RESPONSE TO A RECENT SPATE OF KILLINGS!!!

This report from Fox4's Tess K. is a must read . . .

Mayor Calls KCMO Homicide Rate ‘Slow Motion’ Mass Murder

Money quote . . .

"Mayor Sly James says state law makes it incredibly difficult for cities to do much of anything when it comes to gun control issues. But he says he’s looking for areas where the city can act and is working to convince lawmakers that cities need more control to get a handle on gun violence within city limits.

"The mayor proposed, for example, a city ordinance requiring gun owners to report when a gun is lost or stolen . . .

"James also would like to talk to the state about certain law changes like tougher penalties for drive by shootings, and he thinks certain changes might be needed to the conceal carry law."
#####

Even better, worse . . .

MAYOR SLY REPEATS SUPPORT OF A CRACKDOWN ON HIGH POWERED ASSAULT RIFLES DESPITE THE FACT THAT NOBODY IN KANSAS CITY WAS KILLED WITH A HIGH POWERED ASSAULT RIFLE THIS WEEK!!!

And so, once again, Mayor Sly's media statements show great intentions without a lot of insight into the reality on local streets or the will of local voters in two Red States.

DEVELOPING . . .

  1. Thugs every where are lining up to turn in thier guns.

    What a fuckin joke.

  2. Here is an idea: How about prosecuting people using guns to the fullest extent that the law will allow. Make examples of those convicted of killing/injuring people using guns. The laws on the books work, they just need to be used and used without plea bargaining.

  3. How bout locking up the criminals and throwing away the keys. What law abiding citizen wouldn't report their property stolen? What nonsense. This is what is running KC. What a pity. Changes to concealed carry law? What hood has one of those? Yeah, let's disarm law abiding citizens because govt can't handle crooks. Start enforcing the existing laws we have.

Gun control has worked so well in Chicago. No, really!

  9. The only way you get guns off the street is forced confiscation of all guns. Other than that, there's no point. Of course, Sly needs to do "Something" because people see a mayor's office overly concerned with stupid trains and not public safety or infrastructure.

    1. Who are you going to get to force talking others guns. If legally owned you have no right, plus this is America you need a warrant to go into someone's home. You will not get that based off you want to look for guns. Plus taking guns from law abiding citizens does not stop crime, ie look at Chicago.

  10. Maybe more babysitting party's would work. Miscreants and misguided adolescents can have a good time giggling their butts, grinding, and productive things like that which helps our country's reputation as producers of superior quality products and intelligent thinkers.

  12. KC's top 1% do not want angry, roving, hungry masses on the streets while they strip mine what’s left of the economy. So the murders and shootings do kind of act as a deterrent when people are to afraid to go out and do anything and choose to stay home behind locked doors.

  13. Yes people can stay home and watch leadership on TV and YouTube gently assuring us that recovery is here and the great crash of 08 was just a minor and insignificant burb in the greater scheme of things.

  14. There is a simple solution and that is to repeal the product liability exemption that was granted (and only because of special interests) to gun manufacturers. You own an gun and your 16 year old takes it into school and shoots someone, you (and your insurance) will be civilly liable. Gun locks will fly off the shelves like ammunition is currently selling due to the mystical imagery of storm troopers coming to take your guns while holed up in bunkers and rural mobile homes.

It works for autos, car seats, cribs, bed, food, and all other consumer products except guns.

I have a good friend that is working on the technology that will render cell phones unusable in cars. He wonders how easy it would be to use to ensure that guns were only in the hands of registered owners.

  15. Sly can do and say anything but when Jackson County won't prosecute cases and/or gives out probation for shooting suspects, it won't make a damn bit of difference.

  16. Maybe we can front Lil Wayne $15 grand to come do a presentation on responsible gun ownership.

  17. Typical NIGGER response. Blame everybody and anybody else for the problem. In this case, it's guns. Well, it's NOT!! It's fucking NIGGERS...

  18. 10:59 wants us all to be ruled by commies and elitists.

Go open a vein in your tub and do us all a favor. Maybe your friend can invent a vein opener for libtard communists.

  19. The Government could just add a hefty surcharge to everyone's "affordable care" package making it easier for insurance companies and their lobbyists. The "Affordable Shooting Care Act".

  21. Is there any fucking bandwagon this mayor won't join?

By the way, does he have the 2 ARMED kcpd officers providing mayor protection?

    fucking hypocrite.

  22. I don't think I have ever seen some many self-righteous, opinionated dip shits in my entire life. 60% of you can't spell and 905 don't get punctuation. Most illegal immigrants communicate at a higher level than TKC's crew. Are you not supposed to be at Walmart getting your ammo and flushing your RV's?

Of course, you all have an opinion on everything but oddly, can't spell at a 6th grade level.

  23. Oh No! The Grammar Nazi is back.

"I don't think I have ever seen some many self-righteous, opinionated dip shits in my entire life"

Try "I don't think I have ever seen SO many"......

Have a Nice day Grammar NAZI. LOL

  24. So if we report a stolen gun what good does that do. The KCPD can't even find stolen autos until they are abandoned. How will they find a stolen gun?

    1. they can find them just fine. Jackson County just won't prosecute them.

      2. We can't spike strip them to disable them.
      3. They don't prosecute.

Sly, Alonso, Glazer and Tony will save KC so you bitches STFU and let them do their work.

Jolly was hired to be used as an award for good work done by the above 4.

Yup they will be known as KC's Fantastic Four.

So the rest of you just bow down with your head between your legs and kiss your ass good-bye

  27. Jackson County doesnt prosecute suspects who are arrested in a stolen auto. They now refer the cases to the KC Prosecutors who issue a city stealing ticket to the suspect, which the bond is only $150.00

    ReplyDelete
  28. Who does drive-bys? Mostly minorities. In 10 years when there are more minorities doing more time for a drive-by than non-minorities doing regular shootings there will be a cry of racism, just like the crack vs. cocaine injustice.
