Even better, when it gets warmer it's nice to see white broads jogging in this part of town once again - The surest sign of economic vitality.

I'm going for #3, that sounds the best.
There are some very elegant parts of Mexico city, reminiscent of some very elegant parts of Kansas City. Seen em. Been there. Sadly we don't see a lot of that imagery in the media.
Too bad the Hispanics who live on the west side must come from the junkier, more arrid parts of northern Mexico where beauty is not so important.
Moreover, a picture of the underside of an overhead billboard that says Welcome! isn't a very good image. Nor is an ugly telephone pole with a sign on it. Or a very walmart looking church statue of a smiling Jesus.
Where are the beauty shots of the West side for local Hispanic imagery?
Maybe we could get KC's greatest photographer to drag himself away from downtown KC and do a nice photo essay... he has an eye for interesting and knows how to make things look good.
What's attractive about the West side and Hispanics in general? Not phone poles. Not the underside support beams of the DC3.
Its the culture's youth, smiling kids, schools where students succeed--showing promise. Churches. Community centers. Probably some buildings. Small manufacturing scenes. Parks? Maybe not as fancy as Union Station or Kauffmans new center, but someone with an eye for beauty needs to give Tony some new imagery for his blog.
