One of my tías gave me a gift card for Starbucks over the weekend and told me again that I would be better off selling insurance . . . I didn't take the advice but totally snagged the gift card. Skulking around the Plaza this early evening, the place seems like it has been evacuated.
And just when I was looking forward some gratis coffee, I noticed that Starbucks was abandoned and shut down for the night. At that point, I looked around and it seemed like the opening scene from The Walking Dead.
Even the hobo with crutches was packing it in for the night.
And so I swung by QT closer to my hood for the 85 cent cup of coffee that often powers this blog for the evening as Kansas City snow doom approaches . . . And we wait.
