Not so long ago, there was no disagreeing with Star columnists when they made their pronouncements regarding civic issues but NOW there's an alternative to the monopoly on the local discourse and corporate media mostly based in JoCo supporting every single tax in Kansas City Proper.

I don't think the Star is the problem. The problem is people who don't understand state law or how the courts work. All of this bellyaching is quite humorous, but ultimately is not relevant. This site reads like a party line - similar to foxnews or msnbc. But we all know that drama sells.
