In old school Kansas City political circles this means something . . . I'm not sure what, but it means something.
Still, here's what I've noticed . . .
THIS KANSAS CITY FAITH COMMUNITY ENDORSEMENT HAS RESULTED IN MORE HARD FEELINGS AND INFIGHTING AMONG LOCAL LEADERS IN THE URBAN CORE RATHER THAN A REAL PLEDGE TO STOP THE VIOLENCE!!!
Seriously . . .
SOCIAL MEDIA IS BUZZING WITH IMPORTANT CRITICISM OF THIS EFFORT FROM DENIZENS OF THE URBAN CORE WHO SEEM TO DESCRIBE THE EFFORT AS JUST ANOTHER DOG AND PONY SHOW!!!

This point here is that wishing and hoping and praying hasn't worked to stop Kansas City violence in decades and NOBODY believes that trying the same thing yet again will produce different results.
Good luck with that praying thing. Why don't you instead start with good parenting. And that means TWO parents, black people. I know it's a foreign concept but give it a shot. Next, stay in school and get a good JOB. If you want something then earn it. Don't shoot somebody over it so you can fill the prisons with more people who look just like you. Next, teach this to your children to live well. Every other race on Earth has figured this out. I don't know why you can't. And no, I do not expect the black race to take me up on any these things. I expect them to decline even further because they prove over and over again that is all they are capable of.

ReplyDeleteAny asshole can call himself Reverend and most do. It is the same as the term "Activist". At least titles like Doctor or Professor require some learning and accomplishment. I hold the most scumbag politician in higher regard than I do any reverend or any activist.
Oh Yeah! A bunch of religious nuts can fix everything ...as long as they aren't members of a sex cult, aren't distracted by juvenile boys and no one lets their kids loose from being tied up in the basement.
