Tragic? Hardly! Tragedy is when the government steps in to bail out a group like Legends thereby allowing it to fail and fail again. Creative destruction strengthens all.
The government already subsidizes Legends. The entire developement at Village West is STAR bonded and subsidized by both WyCo and the entire state of KS. And they still owes millions on those bonds.
Also, they have a TDD the entire county is on the hook for, even though only non-resident business interests got to vote for it.

It is bs these places are subsidized by the gov't. All you hear is how great the Legends is. Well if it was great it would stand on it's own two feet. Many restaurants have closed there. There is little night life. They should be like everybody else. Prosper or die. My business doesn't get shit from the gov't and neither should they.
