Kansas City life doesn't change much despite the pricey eco-devo pipe dreams that are soon to cost this town more than $100 mil.

To wit, let's celebrate this morning animation together . . .

CHECK OUT THE KANSAS CITY TOY TRAIN STREETCAR ROUTE VIA COMPUTER MODELING ANIMATION!!!

Ride the KC Streetcar Route

Admittedly, it's an impressive clip.

What the Youtube video doesn't show . . .

- The Toy Train Streetcar Project Already Overbudget.

- The EXTRA MONEY MODOT is gonna have to kick-in according to EXCLUSIVE AND AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS . . .

- Sadly, it's hard to animate all of the business that FAILS to materialize thanks to the Toy Train..

Nevertheless, it's a nice Kansas City animated clip produced at a projected cost of $100 mil plus so it's certainly worth a look . . . Given that you're paying for it one way or another.

  5. Amazing how there are never any ugly, overhead wires in the shots of this quixotic nostalgic boondoggle.

  6. Fix the infrastructure you fucking idiots at City Hall!!

  7. That, was one ugly ride. I'm beginning to understand why KC is considered flyover country.

The video reminds me of that TV series that was on a few years ago where they tried to represent what places would look like, over time, if humans disappeared from the planet.

Also, I think Ossco can be seen at 1:09, turning a corner quickly and running away with that $15,000.

  10. Typical political thing to do, they don’t have money to fix what is broken around town in declining areas, so let’s spend money on a train that only deals with downtown proper. If you can’t walk that area then get on one of those buses that already clog the streets. Spend that money and tax money you are adding on the current issues that have been ignored by the city for years.

I get it if the CITY ignores it long enough everyone will move out and they can then claim the area as condemned property for little to nothing.

  12. Manufacturing activity in the region was weak for the fourth consecutive month in January, while hiring also grew slowly, the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City said Thursday.

Oh don't worry the Streetcar will fix all that!!!!!!!!!

  13. What a f'ing pathetic effort!!! And filmed from the viewpoint of the top of a double decker bus too! Love how the 1970's porn soundtrack ends before the film clip does...my favorite part is when we crash into the 11th st over crossing...hahaha, a 4th grader could do a better job.

  14. I think the KCATA does a pretty good job of transporting people through this same root. What's different? There's plenty of buses running all day long along this same root. I still don't understand the fascination with this train - from Crown Center to the Downtown lofts; there's really not that much attraction for the price.
