Is she one of those who has to announce in the web every time she passes gas or starts to bleed? I hate those types.
The fire chief wanted $80K a year and a paid assistant do do what an executive director is supposed to do in the first place.
My wild and impetuous guess is that the fundraising for that "hire" would be a bit more difficult than what the Committee currently faces.

Where DOES the Truman Days money go? If there is no revenue realized from Truman Days, why do we put on the "fundraiser."

Why does Jessica have to raise her own salary instead of drawing the funds from the Truman Days revenue?
Because Truman Days was never about raising money. It was always about allowing Dutch Newman to think up awards to give to friends or for HER to get ever few years. And to allow her daughter Michelle to think she has talent by putting on a little show like kids might put on the basement. The money is all eaten up by expenses.
I would sooner donate to the 2 Tacos for Tony fund.
Most of you commenters don't know shit. She has to fundraise her own salary, the same way a salesperson in private business has to raise funds to pay for their commission and / or salary. Jessica does a great job, and I would guess most of the people hating on her here are Repubs.

When Jessica mentioned during her interview that she liked to "Blog" the only person who initially supported her told her that she should not be blogging or making statement IF she got the job. That person fought like hell to get her the job. Now Jessica is making the party and the person who got her the job look bad because she insist on putting stupid statements on the internet.
