In one of the most encouraging developments in the fight against crime across the metro, it's encouraging to see more attempts at collaboration from Kansas City Mayor Sly James.

MAYOR SLY JAMES AND ANTI-CRIME ACTIVIST ALONZO WASHINGTON ARE SCHEDULED TO MEET IN ORDER TO DISCUSS THE FIGHT AGAINST LOCAL VIOLENCE AND HOMICIDE!!!
Previously . . .
In an open letter to the Mayor, Mr. Washington offered his help to Kansas City and noted the need for a more direct and comprehensive strategy for fighting crime.
Like him or not, Mr. Washington has been one of the most successful and prolific activists against metro crime while constantly encouraging community partnership with police.
This scheduled meeting CLEARLY shows Mayor Sly James moving in a direction more focused on getting results in the fight against crime rather than satisfying local political special interests. Likewise, there simply is no arguing with one crime fighting success after the next for Mr. Washington.
This Kansas City collaboration has the potential to spark real change and it could be one of the most significant development in the constant struggle to curb crime at the outset of 2013.

Too bad Sly James can't take the time to meet with actual KCMO residents. Alonzo lives in KCK. Of the 450,000+ people who live here, could the mayor take some time to actually meet with one of them about this issue?
1) It's a VERY slow day for the Mayor's schedule.
2) Alonzo threatened to go on a hunger strike at City Hall until the Mayor met with him.
3) As Mr. Washington is a Kansas resident, the Mayor mistakenly believes that he is interested in moving a business to KCMO.
4) The Mayor will somehow spin this meeting as an opportunity to discuss those with mental health issues, and use Mr. Washington as a poster child for those coping with narcissistic megalomania.
The honkies must be destroyed! We will redouble our efforts toward this end...
Maybe a WV hillbilly that sits on its ass and is on the Govt teat can meet with Sly next.
They can discuss how to waste taxpayer money and do nothing all day.

It's well known that suburbanites openly wish for the demise of Kansas City. They are ashamed by their racism and it causes guilt constantly. The only way to ease their suffering is to engage in racism and hope for more people of color to DIE in our city.
