While TKC supports the 2nd Amendment and I'm pretty sure that the possibility of Executive Action on gun control will makes heads explode with anger in the Kansas City suburbs . . . I've never been comfortable around "gun people" because so much of their literature and media is dominated by racism.

That's a picture of the Kansas Rifle Association president, Patricia Stoneking. She also serves as the vice chair for the Wyandotte County Republican Party.
She "likes" a Facebook page called "American White History Month."
Here's the status update (from the group and not Stoneking) visible in this picture:
"After thinking about what I wrote earlier about how we all need to stand together, I know I was wrong because the other races only stand for themselves. When the SHTF it will be hard for me to trust a black to have my six, because 93% of them voted for this potus, and the mexicans voted for him also and the muzzrats did to. This makes us clear to me we can only trust 7% of the blacks and 1% of the mexicans and 0% of the muzzrats. This tells me I can only trust 75% of my brothers and sisters that are white. The time is coming faster and faster to pull ourselves together and in large numbers. So what do all my white brothers and sisters think? OORAH."
Such status updates are showing up in Patricia Stoneking's Facebook news feed everyday. As are comments such as the one's below:
"I think all the welfare, food stamps, phones that many blacks receive has already taken care of any reparations..."
"They sold themselves so why are they pissed off at white people, and more importantly why the hell should we have to pay for their sorry asses. at least when they were slaves they worked."
I run an anonymous blog, and this picture was sent to me anonymously. However, I am "friends" with Patricia Stoneking on Facebook and yes, she is a member of this group. The comments I took from the Facebook group's page today.

Now, it's perfectly legal and Ms. Stoneking's right to join whatever facebook group she wants . . . But as a public figure she also deserves scrutiny for her choices and the message they send. The alleged affiliation with a white pride movement clearly alienates more people than it attracts (both people of color and white) and sends a clear message about her point of view that really has nothing to do with protecting the 2nd Amendment. Ms. Stoneking would be wise to quickly DISLIKE that facebook group and maybe pen a message that she encourages a DIVERSITY of supporters for OUR AMERICAN 2ND AMENDMENT RIGHTS.
Think about this . . .
If advocates for the 2nd Amendment are going to challenge current gun control trends then they're going to have to reach out to a broader constituency than just racists online. The EPIC GOP Presidential Defeat Of 2012 has revealed that old, reactionary, white people can no longer win important national elections or hold the line on controversial issues by themselves.
Real Talk: I don't hang out with any white people who are enthusiastic about gun right BUT friends and family and people of color near my urban core basement dwelling will ADAMANTLY defend their 2nd Amendment freedom.
What this online controversy reveals is that in order to defend the 2nd Amendment successfully, there must be a need for MAINSTREAM effort to move past more reactionary and racist gun advocates who have traditionally frightened anyone politico who attempts gun control.
Once again, it's not about race but about freedom and the legacy of this old school political dichotomy which exists in the gun control debate must change.

Politicians won’t step up and build more prisons and pass the type laws that put criminals away and keep them away from the rest of society.

I grew up around more guns than I am around today. My friends weren’t shooting themselves or each other either. Fact of the matter is we as kids knew an ass beating was coming if we even thought about touching any gun without permission and an adult standing there. What is called an assault rifle today I learned to shoot when I was just a child at 10 years of age. Yes I learned how to shoot the AR-15 and it was a full automatic version as well. I learned how to shoot pistols, shotguns and police type swat rifles. Yes I was taught all about gun safety and how to shoot by Jim Ainsworth who was the Chief of Police in Lenexa back in the sixties till 1971. I respect guns very much today and know their usefulness.
Kids dying in homes today by guns is nothing but parents not being proper parents. In fact another issue in this country is parents not being parents. But that’s another issue the politicians won’t touch either because so easy to blame something else and let the next person in office deal with it when all new laws have no effect on people dying from guns.
Till all people admit what’s really wrong with this country and deal with it, nothing is going to change and in fact things will get worse.

You need to read more of what Frederick Douglas and his writings. He'ld educate you. He was against any Black organizations of any kind, because he felt they would cause blacks to separate themselves from others. As he said it ....
