Let's summarize . . .
Council Dude Michael Brooks has REFUSED to answer questions.
Organizers of a no-show event promise a substitute program but it comes after a demand to return the cash and doesn't include the agreed upon details and participants.
Aaaaaaaaaaand . . . There are a lot of rumors about WHY this cash has disappeared but nobody has come forward to tell the real story that's the subject of so much Kansas City gossip.
And just like the movie 28 Days Later . . . This is an exceptionally scary episode in Kansas City history because it demonstrates that neither local activists nor our elected officials care about protecting our city's finances and being diligent about protecting money in City Hall coffers which can simply disappear with no questions asked.
