"New hiring freeze at City Hall--does not apply to aviation or water . . . Some departments seem to ignore this completely. Older workers are worried sick."
Still this town has found money to spend on Toy Trains, celebrity no-show events and so many other pet projects that promise big returns with little evidence to support such grandiose claims.

The freeze does apply to water - just look at the streets where water mains have broke.

City manager was hired because of his budget acumen and now we have yet another budget bust which will result more service reductions? You can identify the butt-kissers by the positions that are allowed to be filled while the residents pay.

They should put a hiring freeze in place for the KCFD. That is the most over staffed and under worked department in the city. They DO NOT NEED four man trucks! Most major city fire department's have three man trucks. Quit wasting my tax dollars and cut the KCFD!
