SHOCK!!! KANSAS CITY OLD AND BUSTED WATER MAIN REMAINS UNFIXED ALL WEEK!!!

Last year KANSAS CITY MAYOR SLY JAMES encouraged voters to pass a series of new taxes because "it was about time to do something" about long overdue infrastructure repair and deferred maintenance.

Sadly . . .

IN THIS SEASON OF KANSAS CITY WATER MAIN BREAKS IT'S CLEAR THAT FIXING INFRASTRUCTURE IS NOT A PRIORITY FOR THIS TOWN'S ELECTED OFFICIALS!!!

Admittedly, this week TKC was busy looking up all the info I could find regarding September Carrino . . . But that's kinda my thing, man.

Meanwhile . . . Mayor Sly was speaking out and working against assault rifles.

And . . . Most of the City Council was making sure The Green Impact Zone clandestinely received $550K worth of taxpayer cash for a program that's widely criticized as nothing more than a job placement program for Kansas City political insiders.

AND NEITHER KANSAS CITY'S MAYOR SLY JAMES NOR HIS ACOLYTES AMONG THE CITY COUNCIL CARE ABOUT THE CONDITION OF KANSAS CITY STREETS AND INFRASTRUCTURE!!!

Example to prove the TKC Thesis noting yet another failed political epoch in Kansas City . . .

A water main just off of Ward Parkway and 67th Street broke on Monday, and crews have yet to stop the water from flowing down the street.

And when The Ward Parkway Corridor can't get their streets or pipes fixed in a rush . . . It's time to start worrying.

Sadly, Mayor and most of the Council are more interested is national issues on the Democratic Party Agenda, earning grand titles and ruling the local social scene than the very boring but necessary job of infrastructure repair.

  1. Sly sold us out. He hasn't done anything for this City but help his friends get money.

  2. It's part of KC new austerity program. Raise taxes for boondoggle projects and neglect the obvious problems that need fixing. Anybody seen that 15K around here? ha ha ha

  6. Why not ask cm Johnson, he is the head of t&i, he approved the new wsd org? Or is he too busy with his toy train yup care about real issues. 100m would fix a lot of streets and pipes.

  7. No Sly will jump up here soon as it gets real cold and say thats the city's new ice skating rink. Enjoy people. Oh and be careful of the cars sliding by.

  8. These watermain problems would not happen if we had light raid downtown.

  9. Hey that gave me an idea.

See they build trenches all over town and then they get like those log boats they use at theme parks for rides and let the water from the watermains flood the trenches and use the boats as free public transportation. Dig a lot of trenches for 200 mill. Hell better yet charge out of towners to ride for fun then have made a little money to get the e-tax dropped. Imean just think could ride through the est side maybe see a rolling gun battle or Ho's arguing price on Troost. Tourist trade be booming in KC once again.

    Mr. Tony,
KCWD needs to fix this watery mess. My car keeps getting mud thrown on the bonnet. But, this unprofessionalism does not mean that Mr. Mike Burke can help sell our Water Department assets.
I am getting my ice skates out. This place will freeze over today!

  11. Many Water Department employees are black and I think all this talk about water main breaks is really veiled racist talk. You complain about the water because you people are really hate black people. For those of you who went to KCPS, this is what is known as sarcasm.

  12. Great work, Tony. Keep the fire to the feet of the KCMO leadership. FIX OUR FUCKING ROADS, STREETS, AND SCHOOLS FIRST! That is what local government is supposed to do. Everything else is secondary.

  13. Fuck All of you. My scotch comes first!

  14. The water main problem is the result of too many watermelon eaters in city government.

  15. Why does everyone think Sly would do a good job? He is acting like every other black mayor of a large city in America. They are all corrupt. Why does Sly's behavior surprise anyone ?!?!!!!!

  16. "FIX OUR FUCKING ROADS, STREETS, AND SCHOOLS FIRST! That is what local government is supposed to do"

Wrong, schools are not part of city government.

  17. Time for a new manager and quite a few department directors.

  18. Why is Russ Johnson approving department organizational charts AND looking at certification lists for hire? He should NOT be involved in hiring employees.
