Kansas City Home Building Spike Hype
They are saying this is the "best news since the start of the recession" and they've been saying the same thing ever since: Kansas City area home builders finished 2012 with a 43 percent jump in construction permits, signalling another bright spot for the area's housing market.

But it don't point out all the empty repossessed houses out there.
One in every 624 U.S. households, nearly 211,000 in total, got hit with some sort of foreclosure filing last month.
Nevada led all other states in the rate of foreclosure filings for the 61st consecutive month. One in every 198 homes drew a foreclosure notice in January.
Florida, Illinois and Georgia were home to the largest number of zip codes with the highest foreclosure rates of 2012.
So things not to peachy yet. Plus if you go out and look still a lot of empty new homes sitting out there.
Why not slice and dice up these permits and sell them on the futures market?
