Kansas City Food Desert Resolution

KC Biz Journal: "Kansas City is taking another step toward developing a long-awaited grocery store in one of its most impoverished neighborhoods. The Kansas City Council this week will consider a resolution that would authorize City Manager Troy Schulte to strike a redevelopment agreement with an affiliate of Truman Medical Center and the Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority to build a grocery store at Beacon Hill."

We pay this guy $187,200 a year to "manage" the city?

Schulte was unaware that Mayweather had served time 1:59. Why bother doing research when you can just cut checks from the taxpayer trough at will and never be questioned?

This is funded by Hospital Hill not Truman Medical Center. It's been in the works for a while. It was originally not planned for the Eastside of Troost but the Third District boundary lines were redrawn and now it extends all the way to Campbell. So, thi sproject lands in the Third District by happenstance.

Hospital Hill is closely related to and Bwholden to TMC. TMC is bankrolling this much needed project.
