Actually, good people live in these neighborhoods but the story that's often told is not accurate. There are areas on the east side that should just be leveled. The area where this East Patrol Station is earmarked it's highly inappropriate. The City knows it, the Police know it and City Planning Staff know it. This is a political insider deal and the project should be blocked asap!

Awful location. logistically this is a disaster for the police. The citizens in the area out east are the ones who are going to pay for this disaster for decades to come by being a long way from the police station and getting terrible police service.
Give the east side to independence and the murder rate will go down 75%
