And who are the employers?
Gotta do something visible in the run-up to budget season to prove they're doing something, even if what they're doing is not reducing violent crime.
Give us a count to justify your publicity. I'm tired of being hyped by blogs/media publicizing community organizations with no followers.
I was offered a job yesterday. I can tell you that it's been a long hard road these past few years. It seems now that my life has renewed hope. I will be able to do much more now that I have a permanent position with an international company. Kansas City even looks better to me now.
I can only say that I am happy that I won't have to waste another minute with these government grant people like Aim4Peace and FEC who couldn't do shit for me other than use interest and desperation as a placeholder to present to their donors so that they could stay afloat and get more government funding.
Any employer who shows up at this job fair will only be doing so to have something to report that does that they participated in a community gathering to recruit minorities. They won't hire anybody. Not one soul.
I do hope that those seeking gainful employment find it but they are wasting their time dealing with the Clyde McQueen's and Alvin Brook's of the world.

None of those companies are worth working for. Those aren't jobs. They are hosting a job fair for those minimum wage, dead-end jobs that keep you in the poor house.
"Free and open to everyone"?
Show up, dress professionally and our fine band of NIGGERS will be glad to mug you, either before you enter, after you enter or maybe even both!
