GOOD RIDDANCE!!! BREAKING WESTPORT KANSAS CITY CLUB NEWS!!! TWITTER TELLS US: THE BEAUMONT CLUB CLOSED DOWN!!!

Breaking news regarding Kansas City club life that is shocking to . . . NO ONE!!!
To wit . . .
EARLIER THIS MORNING TWITTER REPORTED THAT THE BEAUMONT CLUB CLOSED DOWN!!!
Credit @KC_Picks (a rather well-read club discount account) with breaking the not very important news . . .
What this really means . . .
THE SO-CALLED WESTPORT RENAISSANCE IN THE AFTERMATH OF THE HIP-HOP VERSION OF AMERICA'S PUB CLOSING DOWN IS NOTHING MORE THAN A MYTH!!! REALITY CHECK: KANSAS CITY, MO BIZ IS HURTING IN EVERY PART OF THE CITY!!!
Don't really care what Westport denizens say because the vast majority of those people are born liars anyhoo . . . But the important part is that a longtime Kansas City club is gone and this town is marginally better for it considering the quality (or lack thereof) of the acts they were bringing in . . .
DEVELOPING . . .

Admit it. The place was great in the 90s.
You bastid.
Well, now Bill Nigro will have more time to invest in The KC Strip.
It's the economy stupid!
Build a police station there. That will fix everything and "spur" economic development.
Look out below!
What this really means . . . is hopefully no more bad "music" blaring from Westport at 2:00 in the morning every Thursday through Sunday at 110 DB's.
Wow imagine Westport being a nice place to go at night again. Instead of a place where people are herded around to the watering troughs like cattle.
Wheres the Midtown Ink Crowd going to go to act like idiots on display now?
Available. Big space with large parking lot.
Mayan Prophecy unfolding. End of the world we used to know.
The Beaumont Club was a place that never could find it's niche. The acoustics as far as music goes was terrible. Boxing matches seemed to work the best of anything there. Did see some cheap shows over the years but was never the place to go to hear "Great Music". Loud music isn't always great music if the sound system is crap.
TKC, my kid is 28, he tells me it is going pretty well down there since America's Pub left.
Just sayin...
He's got a point. Sounds like this closing has a lot more to do with management and niche like Dave says.
But yeah . . . It's definitely a lot better than the late 90s and early 00s.
The Beaumont Club was an awful venue for live music. The acoustics were atrocious, they had no air conditioning and the place was disgusting. I'm not too proud to drink a beer that's chilled in a horse trough, but I'll be damned if I am going to pay premium deniro for it. Maybe some of the acts will move on to better venues where I can actually enjoy their music instead of swatting away poorly tattooed freaks and wiping my sweat while trying to guess the song amid the distortion.
Did my first date rape there. Got those panties off quick and left my load in her passed out ass as she lay spread eagle in the back of some car I broke into. Gonna miss that place! Sniff, sniff....
To the tune of the big gay band breaking Benjamin.
Why don't they import some more NIGGERS into Westport? That worked real well before, didn't it?? Well?
I actually loved that place back in the 90's. Of course country music was a big trend back then. The Beaumont was a pretty fun place to go if you enjoyed country music. Once the country music trend faded, the club went downhill.
