What started as a car crash ended with a man fatally shot in the chest by a university security guard Thursday afternoon.
One person is dead after being shot Thursday afternoon by a university security officer.
According to police, a wreck happened near 52nd and Troost shortly after 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Authorities say that an armed suspect emerged from one of the vehicles involved in the wreck.
