Funny thing is . . . Most of the Council is vulnerable to recall given the low voter turnout. However, Mayor Sly is probably safe . . . Still, let's remember that Clay Chastain is the only guy in a Kansas City transit discussion who has actually won a citywide election.

"Today at 2:00 P.M. at the Mayor's office on the 29th floor of City Hall, community activist Clay Chastain will issue an ultimatum to Mayor James and the entire City Council to stop obstructing a vote on the people's valid light rail transit initiative...and place it before voters in 2013... or else a total recall petition drive will be initiated to remove Mayor James and the entire City Council from elected office for misfeasance of office and failure to let citizens vote on a valid transit intiative as outlined in the rules governing intiatives set forth in the KCMO, voter-approved, City Charter."

Chastain doesn't even live here, so his constant nonsense does more to damage light rail than it does help. Get it done in Virginia, Clay, and let Kansas Citians decide their own shit.
Come on people I know most of us don't really care all that much for Clay but then as well he is rather right about what he is saying and in fact you stand around bitching dead beat people who live in KC ought to be the ones who is doing what he is going to do today. So in short he is doing what the citizens of KCMO should be doing. In fact I hope Clay can get a recall done.
