TKC EXCLUSIVE AND BREAKING NEWS!!! READ THE PHASE II RECALL REED PETITION!!!

Once again Kansas City Councilman Jermaine Reed faces a recall effort.
It's no secret that a great deal of antipathy has been aimed at Kansas City's youngest Council dude during the course of his brief tenure. However, this effort seems to have renewed vigor and a greater knowledge of the recall process to guide their second try. Last night TKC BROKE NEWS of this recall effort and cited more than a few reasons it should be taken seriously.
To wit . . .
ORGANIZERS SAY THAT "PHASE II OF THE RECALL REED" EFFORT STARTS TODAY!!!

Now, in order to kick an elected official out of office in Kansas City there has to be some legal cause according to the City's Charter . . . GIVEN THAT TKC HAS THE FIRST AND EXCLUSIVE ACCESS TO THE PETITION DOCUMENT . . . Here's a glimpse at what I think might be the most important passage that could meet the recall threshold.
Check it:
"Mr. Reed has been improperly influenced to support the development of the East Patrol Police Campus which has created a conflict of interest in that sponsors of his election campaign and his affiliation with special interest groups, has impeded his ability to work in the interest of neighborhoods within the Third District of Kansas City, MO. Mr. Reed has consistently sponsored, participated in and passed ordinances which are directly related to the East Patrol Development and in conflict of his duties to represent the interest of the community. Mr. Reed should have recused himself from serving on any committee or making any decisions concerning this project due to his long standing and documented ties with at least one Kansas City Missouri Police Commissioner and Kansas City, Missouri Police Board Champlain; and other special interest groups who contributed to his campaign; demonstrating questionable and potentially unethical and corrupting behavior . . ."
TAKE A LOOK AT THE PETITION DOCUMENT IN ITS ENTIRETY IF THAT KIND OF THING IS YOUR BAG, BABY!!!
Real talk, Mr. Reed recently demonstrated some standing with an assorted group of East Side Clergy as he touted minority hiring for The New Kansas City Police Department East Patrol Project . . .
Nevertheless . . . There is palpable discontent with Mr. Reed's leadership in Kansas City's urban core and the latest recall effort is an expression of this sentiment.
DEVELOPING . . .

Interesting.
If KCMO councilmembers are going to be recalled because they suck up to special interest insiders and screw the taxpayers, you might as well list all 13 of them on the recall petition, including Sly.
Insider dealing and money changing hands on the east side?
And with the same old names showing up over and over again?
Shocking!
Recall the council.and sly? Good idea!
There you go again TKC doing Gwen Grant's bidding. Jeez, you're shameless.
I agree with others recall the whole damn lot of them.
Get a dictionary if you want to be taken seriously - Chaplain. I'm sorry these people are being displaced by this project. And it stinks of rigged politics. But doesn't everything in KC? But the rest of third district needs representation in place. This battle is lost, go out and win the war!
1633 - That's the number.
Because hiring minorities to build the Tony Aguirre Community Center worked out so well...
Why isn't tony reporting who's behind this recall effort? Isn't that the real story?
Read the document, it's right there. Tony gave you the link.
Here's hoping they're successful. Reed thinks he's more of a member of the Congressional Black Caucus than the KCMO City Council. He's a grifter and a gladhander.
