TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! CONSIDERING JEREMY LAFAVER TAX HOT MESS DISQUALIFICATION QUESTIONS!!!

Today's Midtown Kansas City election question that's nearly as hot as Holly Peers takes into account the reporting of AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS.

Check it:

KANSAS CITY POLITICAL INSIDERS WONDER IF JEREMY LAFAVER'S TAX TROUBLES WILL DISQUALIFY HIM DESPITE A VICTORY HE'S TAKING FOR GRANTED TODAY!!!

Here's how it MIGHT work . . .

Politicos running for office have to sign an affidavit that they don't have any liens or tax liability before they run for office.

TKC TIPSTERS directed us to a link that shows a lien against Mr. LaFaver was under consideration just last year.

Mr. Lafaver's "letter of innocence" that he's touting came just a few days ago.

Furthermore, because we're interested in all perspectives in this hot mess . . .

Here's what Mr. LaFaver has to say regarding the issue:

"I had zero liens and zero tax liability when I signed up as a candidate.

"As well, I owed zero income tax in MO in 2008. This is written in the letter from DOR.

"MO incorrectly said I owed about 2K in taxes for that year and I incorrectly let them take it out of my federal return.

"This resulted in me paying 2K to the state that I didn't owe and I will be issued a refund."

In other words, Mr. LaFaver seems to be saying that his tax hot mess is not his fault. It's the same excuse I use when avoiding the hitman looking to kill TKC for my debts.

Also, that's the same line Mr. LaFaver gave around Kansas City Democratic circles when people questioned his STUPID flip-flopping endorsement of Crystal "Hairdo" Williams.

But I digress . . .

Kansas City insiders tell us that Mr. LaFaver is probably safe from disqualification despite "concern" from his GOP opponents.

Sorry, Sally Miller doesn't really have a shot. She's the Midtown Kansas City version of Jacob Turk.

In the end, while the timing of the tax hot mess issue is STILL in question. In the end, the debt settlement - According to Mr. LaFaver and his precious letter - reveals the whole thing was a mistake.

A Kansas City Insider says, "The bottom line is the DOR did, in fact, make a mistake and the only thing Jeremy might be guilty of is being lazy getting it taken care of . . ."

What's more important.

WHAT WE'VE REALLY DISCOVERED IS THAT JEREMY LAFAVER IS WHAT KANSAS CITY WESTSIDERS LIKE TO CALL "MUY SENSITIVO" TO VALID CRITICISM WITH DOCUMENTATION!!!

Let's get it straight . . .

If Mr. Lafaver wins it has nothing to do with his work as a candidate - He's simply the beneficiary of Kansas City Democratic Machine politics. Sadly, I don't think anybody told Mr. Lafaver this fact of life and in debates we've heard that he comes off as arrogant. Which is what started this discussion in the first place.

A Kansas City Insider offered this rather apt political metaphor:

"He's going to get his ass kicked in Jeff City and if he's smart he might learn from it. He's a bit of a prima donna but that should stop once he earns a bit of experience as a Freshman legislator."

More on that topic in just a few . . .

  1. The lead story on the day of a national election is LaFaver's tax records?
    Really?
Kind of puts the whole KCMO tipster thing in perspective!

  2. At my polling place, the before opening line was fairly long because the early voters needed to get to work...so the showed up a little early.

Quiet, cordial, a twenty or thirty minute wait for the early voters before the polls even opened.

Cordial, polite. Anxious to get to work on time, we stood quietly in the dark!

Probably not such a line at midday in Missouri because our government cares more about us than eastern states do THEIR voters!

  3. No story here Tony. Our state legislature, regardless of who is in the majority, does not act against their own. If he wins he will be seated.

  4. This is a nonstory except for its timing. Dontcha kinda think if Lafaver had known about the lien he would have pursued it? And yes, as anyone who has ever dealt with our state, county, or local governments will tell you, it's possible to have a lien and not be told abbout it. The assumption is when you sell your house, you'll be so anxious to close you'll just pay it whether it's valid or not.

Also, the county is mighty slow to record mortgage release documents, so don't ever lose them.

  5. Maybe now that the incompetence of the MO DOR is effecting politicians they will do something about it.

  6. Politicians only do something when it applies to them.

  7. Incompetence of the Mo DOR? How about teh incomepetence of LaFaver? This kid has not even been elected and he has already shown he is in over his head.

  8. Bullshit hit job by Tony. It's a petty accounting issue over $2,000, and LaFaver's explanation seems to explain it. But apparently Tony doesn't like him, so it's smear shit time.

  9. All documented. Stop whining Jeremy.

  10. I'm surprised that he's being taken seriously. Besides being an overweight, very young, prima donna, why would anyone vote for this man? But, what's really frightening is that he actually ran in the first place. Now, that's entitlement!

Brandon Ellington is young, but Brandon actually does something for his community. What has this man done?

Imagine if I were to move to Kansas City, & immediately run for the MO House. At least, I'm an adult.

  11. Fine, if you want to make that argument, go for it. Although I don't think he JUST moved. My point was that Tony's s-hit piece is just that. Much ado about nothing to try to stir up some shit.

  12. "Stop Whining Jeremy?"
Yesterday you called me Mike Talboy. Will I be Mike Sanders tomorrow? So any time I make an argument for or against someone or something, I'm just a puppet for some politician you don't like? Ok the, eat shit Todd Aikin.

  13. Byron, what's with the weight shit, how is 33 "very young," and other than Tony's calling him one, why do you think LaFaver's a prima donna?

He went to Kansas State and has been living in Kansas City since at least 2009. (Remember the tax problem is about his 2008 income earned in New Mexico). He did not move to Kansas City and "immediately" run for office.

Do you know or know anything about Sally Miller?

  14. Byron...move to K.C. , kiss Marks cock, Glorias' too, make amends with the Funk Family & STFU !!!

  15. Byron, I am surprised anyone takes your seriously.

  16. I'd suck him dry and clean his ass with my horny hillbilly mouth! Yum!!!!
