THE TKC SUNDAY SPECIAL!!! NEWBIE MICHAEL WATSON ALREADY EMBATTLED AS AD-HOC GROUP AGAINST CRIME LEADER!!!

Leading Kansas City's Eastside against violence and crime is no easy task and a new leader is discovering this fact of life first hand.

To wit . . .

SOME OF THE MOST KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS TELL US THAT AD HOC GROUP AGAINST CRIME LEADER MICHAEL WATSON IS FACING SOME RATHER SIGNIFICANT CHALLENGES AND OBSTACLES IN HIS SHORT TENURE!!!

Most know Mr. Watson from his legendary days at UMKC basketball. His youth and relative inexperience are just a couple of criticism leveled at the Eastside leader.

We've got AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS working on more details and even more info coming our way . . . But we wanted to put this story on blast FIRST because it's common knowledge to many insiders.

To wit . . .

CHECK A LIST OF CHALLENGES FACING AD HOC LEADER MICHAEL WATSON AND TALK CIRCULATING AMONG KANSAS CITY INSIDERS WHO WORRY ABOUT HIS LEADERSHIP PROSPECTS!!!

- Relationship drama . . . To some extent this is a private matter but the leader of this Eastside group IS A PUBLIC FIGURE and the talk is everywhere. Journalists can go transcribe details after reading FIRST on TKC but apparently there is "trouble in paradise" according to AWESOME TIPSTERS who question the credibility of an Eastside leader who some say might not be so great about keeping his personal life out of public discussion.

- Effectiveness - Face it . . . Eastside Kansas City violence is on the rise again and the same old strategies are clearly not the answer. Mr. Watson hasn't shown much of an interest in doing anything new and his critics are calling him on it.

- 3rd District Power struggles - We're getting closer to the election and more than a few groups are fighting for political power on Kansas City's Eastside. Mr. Watson is not a politician and some say he lacks the experience and knowledge to effectively position the group in the good graces of a changing political landscape wherein the Revs and social service beneficiaries might not hold all of the power in KC's 3rd.

For these reasons and so many more . . . This TKC SUNDAY SPECIAL hopes that Mr. Watson is able to meet these challenges given that the effort to fight deadly violence in Kansas City is our most important struggle and should be our top civic priority.

DEVELOPING . . .

  2. funny post. black leaders are eating each other. look at kiki's downfall. black caucus kicked her to the curb because she took sinqufield money. she followed mike sanders too many times. clinton adams is now involved in his own crazy along with some other real street folks.

sinquefield money means more to sanders than helping the party he is supposedly leading.

  3. Basketball, legendary and UMKC should never be used in the same sentence.

  4. Shocking.

A really good basketball player is failing in teh real world?

I gotta write this shit down...

  5. So there's politics in trying to stop folks from killing one another. Have these grifters no shame?

    ReplyDelete
  6. Oh man Terry Riley wanted that position but Brooks paid him to help his son Jermaine keep his council seat.

  7. @5:49PM Of course there's politics (and money)at stake when so-called crime fighting. Why do you think Alvin Brooks charges for prayer vigils? Crime fighting in this town translates to unabated money laundering. Pure and simple.

  8. Nobody thought Michael Watson was mature enough for the job. When you've got several baby-mamas and none of them are your wife? Well, that is a personal matter. Basketball players are not role models. Here's the list: Dennis Rodman, Michael Jordan, Koby Bryant, Donte Morales, Tony Farmer and Donte Morales. Please learn from this. Nobody is indicating that basketball players can't be good role models. The likelihood of them being one is another topic.

  11. Someone please shut Adhoc down already.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Yes, please shut ad hoc down. Why is this guy's effectiveness being questioned when Alvin Brooks has made pots of money from Ad Hoc and he hasn't accomplished shit, nor has he built effective coalitions on the east side. Why not hold that money-siphoning cockroach Brooks accountable?

    ReplyDelete
  13. Maybe he should hire Coach Comstock as a consultant?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Agree. Close the doors on Adhoc. They are waaay past their prime and they haven't been effective for years. This program might have been better back in the 1980's but now it's just a money scheme.

  15. Ad Hoc can be relevant if they'd spend more time working on issues before the bullet left the gun. Watson has always.been about giving back. Yeah, hes made some mistakes, but he doesnt.run away from them. Leave his personal.life out and focus on helping.

  16. You cant blame him for how ppl view Brooks or AdHoc before he got the job.Its Michaels job to help bring about change in the city, period. He is not a politician, we see the 'great' job they are doing. He actually is concerned about the city he grew up in. He has more supporters than subtractors. I am one of them. Michael if you even read this nonsense, dont let anything stop you from using your gift to serve the community and ignite an entire generation to help our city. Its needed.

  17. F?ck off jerk! I am MICHAEL WATSON and I approve this message.

  18. Yall punk ass ppl need to get a life and obviously yall aint got nuttn going on in your on lives besides reading this stupid shit. Don't judge this man every single one of yall got yall own secrets and issues. Look in the mirror before u try to look at someone else's reflection.

  19. He should have chosen a better organization to be part of. No judgement on him personally but to connect with some of the worst folks in the community is an indication of content of character. Or giving the benefit of the doubt, maybe he didn't know. Now, that he knows, he should probably look at a different company and retire Adhoc.

  20. What has Michael Watson done for the community? Everyone just wants a check.
