THE BIG $200 MIL+ KCPD BUDGET!!!!

"The Kansas City Board of Police Commissioners today approved a budget request of $222.5 million, including $6.6 million in pay raises, for the next fiscal year."

That is way way too much money for busting hoes, DUI checks and traffic tickets and having the shit beat out of you. For 200 mill we ought to be able to just buy the real crooks off.

DUI checkpoints are typically funded from state and federal grants, as are many locations where traffic enforcement is conducted. Not through the city budget

Obviously the Mayor and City Council don't believe in the "pay for performance" principle - they'd all go broke.
