Kay Barnes and Carol Marinovich Tribute Clip

Two pioneering Kansas City Area political ladies were recently honored at a local development awards ceremony . . . Where else?!?!

Kay Barnes and Carol Marinovich - Lifetime Achievement Awards 2012

We've linked a couple of these movies but fore but this video from The Urban Land Institute features AMAZING visuals and starts off with Kansas City political consultant Steve Glorioso giving a nice talk.

There's nothing like an introduction by Glorioso to make you know it's going to be a classy event.
I'm almost afraid to ask who else was there.

I'm waiting for the day Glorioso sprays his spittle into a microphone and electrocutes himself. Now THAT would be worth buying a ticket to see.

Marinovich OK. Give-it-away Kay not so much.

Kay gave it away to developers...and to Herb Kohn...he he he

Oh, she never gave THAT away. It always came with a price.

Given Kay Barnes and Carol Marinobitch an award for achievement is like giving Mitt Romney an award for promoting an increase in middle class income or one to Taliban Todd for promoting tolerance. These two ought to be given life for their achievements. I notice it is a bunch of developers giving the award. Am I the only one who sees the irony in this?
