"Nearly 200 workers at a Kansas City, Missouri, manufacturing facility are picketing on Monday after the company they worked for locked them out due to a labor dispute.
The contract between Milbank Manufacturing and United Steelworkers Local 13 expired at midnight, and after two weeks of negotiations the two sides failed to reach an agreement leading to the lockout."

Now, I hate all politicians from both parties but I got news for you: Insurance premiums go up every year no matter who is in office. Without question, we have the worst health-care system of any industrialized country. Note I said "system" not "care." Even if you're insured it is expensive as hell. Fraud and waste in the billions per year. If you ever have to care for an elderly relative, especially one in a nursing home, you won't believe the scams that are run against the government from medicare. How come you never see the English, Canadians, or French rioting in the streets about their health-care? And the French riot over practically everything.

ReplyDeleteI expect Obamacare is only STEP ONE of a comprehensive health care system. Next target: health insurance companies that provide NO VALUE to US health....just expense.
And better waste, fraud and abuse programs from MEDICARE FOR ALL which has the ability to find it, whereas insurance companies just blindly pass that cost to ratepayers.
If Republicans REALLY wanted to fix entitlements, they'd focus on the private sector (private health care providers) that rips off entitlement programs with false billing, unnecessary tests and way too many expensive perks for their doctors...and way too much money building FIVE STAR HOSPITALS!
And too much being spent allowing Big Pharma to TREAT illnesses, rather than CURE them!

How anybody could be on the side of the insurance companies is complete lunacy. Nothing is more corrupt or bloated. Did you know the top 10 pharmaceutical companies in the Forbes 500 profited/made more than the other 490 companies combined? Think about those other 490. Exxon, Microsoft, Berkshire-Hathaway, Wal-Mart, etc. Ten drug companies out earned the other 490!!! So called "Obamacare" is the same thing Romney passed for the state of Massachusetts when he was governor. It is the same thing Bob Dole tried to pass year ago.
