It sounds like he's running on libertarian principals. Lots of republicans do that. Unfortunately, once elected, they fall back to the typical republican style of governing and advocate for things such as protectionism and an intrusive police state. Perhaps he'd give us a peek behind the curtain and tell us his thoughts on drug policy in missouri.
Sternberg believes in ending drug prohibition, period. he's pretty outspoken on the topic.
