I'm not gonna lie, because I'm a fan of movies, architecture and tech, this Kansas City clip is amazing . . .
From Vimeo this evening we learn that The Urban Land Institute of Kansas City awarded 5 Developments of Distinction in 2012 along with 2 Lifetime Achievement Awards.

It's a great look at local buildings that define Kansas City for better or worse.
AND YES . . . YOU SAW THAT ONE RIGHT . . . FORMER KC MAYOR KAY BARNES IS GETTING A PRIZE!!!
Sadly, most of these structures are out of reach for the typical broke-ass cowtown denizen . . . Still, it's nice to get a peek at where Kansas City's elite work and play. Meanwhile the rest of us are just happy to have City Hall's website back online.
