TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! ARGUMENTS AGAINST YET ANOTHER KANSAS CITY 3RD DISTRICT LIQUOR STORE!!!

Thanks to AWESOME TKC TIPSTER we've got another insight a new liquor store coming up in the 3rd Distinct.
Take a look . . .

A local elected official asks . . .
"Why is the 3rd. District continually bombarded with liquor stores?"
A good question. We could invoke the principal of supply and demand but it's also important to note that there's also a great demand for better grocery stores and more financial institutions in this part of Kansas City. It's clear that profit margins are the real motivation along with an array of other factors.
Nevertheless . . . It's important to note that community leaders and Eastside residents have taken notice that while their neighborhoods lack a great deal of resources enjoyed by other parts of Kansas City . . . There are no shortage of liquor stores.

Japanese parents actively seek mates to marry off their "parasite single" offspring as the only way to get them out of the house.
American parents just drink themselves to death that could explain it.
Sometimes it is about quality, not quantity. If a Berbiglia wanted to open in the 3rd district, it would be appreciated by people who do not want to shop in nasty corner stores or get ripped off at gas station stores that sell liquor. This Dollar Store application may be no better than the rest, but that remains to be seen. Competition of quality should be a factor in making the decisions.
Because Colt 45, Camo, Old English, Hot Fries, and Purple Drink SELL
Because people are idiots. Always have been always will be.
Why is Reed your Councilman? Curls? That's why you keep getting liquor stores. Between the two of them, either one drinks heavily or the other one needs to drink heavily to reassure and mask that both are unfit. Get better leadership and the quality and breadth of business will also improve. They are interrelated.
Bread and circus. Government provides the bread and licenses the circus. It's a great game to watch as long as you keep one in the chamber and a spare clip in your pocket.
So the laws of economics have been repealed in the 3rd district. No one will open a grocery store even though there is a huge demand? On the other hand liqour stores open even though no one buys anything from them? Some Nobel prize winning economist should study this because this is certainly a unique situtation.
Let the free maket decide where liquor stores locate.
When a guy is standing outside a liquor store with a backpack, cellphone and a pit bull, waiting for someone, it ain't the schoolbus and his backpack is probably full of drugs. What's so hard about cleaning things up?
I know the answer to that. It's racist or profiling and the first people to scream are the same people who would be safer because they got them off the streets or scared them away.
I can tell you for sure, if this same scenario happened in my community I would not protest spot checking my kids or others who fit this same description. Your rights end when you present yourself as a drug dealing scumbag. Whether you are or just a wannabe look alike, that will soon be determined when they look in your backpack. Problem solved.
WOW, just another place within the East Patrol Division to bring about crime and all things that strive with it.
Get so tired of goodie two shoes wanting to stop discount liquor stores that sell to the income of the people in the neighborhood.
Gas stations selling liquor are just fine because the price is right. Keeps em from driving to Berbiglia. Lets face it, inner city gas stations arent usually in upscale neighborhoods where the wine is fine and expensive.
Time for government to stop dictating how people should LIVE or price them out of their desires.
Jeez, Tony, I'd think you'd agree with that! Like this new cigarette tax. I haven't smoked for years but I know that oppressive taxes just penalize those least able to pay them.
LOok at it another way. If folks wanna kill themselves, that saves YEARS on extended social security. Lung cancer is a fast moving cancer. Cheaper in the long run for the gumment and Medicare! Cuts off DECADES of paying for SS maintenance!
Let em smoke their lives away....stupid people who've made stupid decisions all their lives.
I'm still not sure I haven't done exactly the same thing cuz I quit only about 12 yrs ago after 40 years of knowing stupidity.
But NOW, they're taking food off their kids'tables since cig taxes are so outrageously expensive.
I finally quit when the cost of the drug stoppage programs pretty much equaled the price of the cigarettes themselves. I finally got offa them.
Gained a lot of horrible weight, which I regret. But at least I'm not stuck at home on an oxygen tube, like both my wife's parents are!
They smoked and drank and partied themselves to bad health for the last 40 years of their sad and sorry lives having fun! And they sure hate it now!
But whatever. So many of us do it, rabbits in the sun playing while the squirrels hidaway their nuts for winter!
We choose our futures, don't we? And our kids put us into the ground and sell off our possessions at auction to pay for our nursing home and burial bills!
We planned badly,maybe.
They're gonna be closed on Sundays!?!?!
Chiefs fans gonna hafta go somewhere else to get they malt and orange drink!
What is so interesting is that other businesses claim they can not stay open on the eastside due to crime but somehow the liquor stores manage to not get robbed.
Not that complicated. A liquor store has a relatively small amount of inventory in a compact space. They are still held up but the croks must usually face the cashier who may be armed. Contrast that with a grocery store where there is a lot more space and a lot easier to rob. Also shoplifting is much easier in a large grocery store where markups are already thin.
I wish all those whining about a grocery store could own one in the inner city for a week. Even as dumb as they are they would probably figure it out.
