UPPER ECHELON LOCAL INSIDERS ARE QUESTIONING KANSAS CITY'S PREPARATION FOR THE VERY REAL POSSIBILITY OF RIOTING IF PREZ OBAMA LOSES!!!
So-called "progressives" are playing down the threat of rioting across the nation as if it's a conspiracy. Sadly, these are the same kind of cocktail party liberals who look the other way when Kansas City homicides add up year after year.
And we're not talking about anything organized: It's clear that in Kansas City, a great many people don't need much of an excuse to be incited to violence.
Still, Kansas City celebrated the rise to power of Prez Obama so it stands to reason that his defeat could tug at the very same heartstrings. And the economy is a lot worse . . . So taking away people's hope for change could quite reasonably have negative consequences.
An upper-echelon Kansas City Insider said this:
"A lot of politicians and local public officials don't have any experience with how quickly riots can start on Kansas City streets or the motivation that sparks outrage. It's not a conspiracy but a fact of life that momentous occasions in our history often cause people to act out. The First Black President of The United States being thrown out of office by the voting public in a divisive campaign represents a dramatic upheaval and this town has rioted over far less."
Not that it matters but it should be noted that this Kansas City Insider with a great many years of experience on local streets IS IN FACT a person of color, NOT A REPUBLICAN and supports a wide array of diversity efforts.
So, while the public mindlessly watches a debateable televised display intended to reassure the plebs. Kansas City insiders worry about much bigger problems confronting Kansas City as we slouch toward the election.

I was working the streets when Obama got elected, there were not any riots but it sounded like Beirut, the celebratory gunfire was worse than new years or the fourth of July. Win or lose I will guarantee the inner city will erupt, this probably has not even been considered by the chief or command staff. Good luck quelling any sort or civil uprising with the manpower available, and handling normal calls for service.
The PD could not be any more NOT prepared for something like this to happen. Of course there are plans and protocols for this, but the PD does not have the equipment or number of officers to deal with it.

I was up when the vote was counted in 2008. There was pure joy in the streets. Folks came out of their houses and apartments shouting with elation. I did not hear gunfire... but I did listen to my neighbor play a fair rendition of Jimmy Hendrix's Star Spangled Banner.

So there will be riots if Romney is elected? Not certain why that would be. Peaceful and orderly transition of power in government is the cornerstone of democracy. So if Obama wins will there be riots in 4 years when he has to leave office because of term limits? And who or what exactly will people riot against? Who is the enemy, republicans or the independents who decide an election? This is just plain stupid.
