Credit to Jacob Turk who is running for Congress a soul-crushing 4TH TIME (!!!) . . . Congressman Cleaver was the only thing interesting about the Democratic Convention and his oratorical skill are the stuff of Kansas City legend.
Now, Rep. Cleaver's GOP opponent is telling his debate frustration to anybody who will listen but we're claiming EXCLUSIVE because NOBODY is writing about Jacob Turk.

Mr. Turk's line has been that The Congressman is avoiding forums where Turk is scheduled to make an appearance and it's an important to Kansas City Democracy that Congressman Cleaver doesn't really feel the need to argue with Jacob Turk.
About a month until the election and as of this writing . . . There is NO DEBATE SCHEDULED BETWEEN CONGRESSMAN CLEAVER AND JACOB TURK.

Why should he? A Republican will never win a race in a Democratic district. Republicans don't even believe he can win that is why they haven't contributed to his campaign.
Turk came within 10 percentage points in 2010. Don't count the brother out.
The TKC point about Democracy is too understated. Rep. Cleaver needs to realize this is more than about than his race. He should want to get voters involved. If he doesn't debate, people won't really know where he stands.

The Turk naysayers need to look beyond the borders of the old 5th district - - especially to the east. Anyone who thinks an Ike Skelton Democrat is likely to vote for Cleaver is delusional. These folks are still fighting the civil war. I'm not saying that Turk wins (he's not getting my vote), but this should be his best showing of the four. Now, let's hope his wife let's him hang it up after this one.
Cleaver's district also takes a decent part of the Northland too. The changes in boundaries and a less than steallar excitement by the urban core community to vote this year may help Turk. I am sure Turk is a good man but JEEEZ he is boring. Talking to him is like talking to a wall. He continues to try to be "nice" not understanding that being a strong candidate does not mean you have to sling mud.

Cleaver can preach fire and brimstone crap but he can't debate and his regular public speaking skills are pretty poor. His record in Congress is one of failure. His record as mayor was one of spend spend spend, and take care of your friends. Yet he'll likely win because the idiots in his district are lemmings who rarely break rank.

Jacob Turk is an honorable man who is running against a corrupt politican. I ask the good people of color to look at Cleaver's record and honestly ask if it has benefited the poor, or merely kept them on the govment plantation.
