TKC EXCLUSIVE AND BREAKING NEWS!!! FIRST LOOK: KANSAS CITY NOIR READING @ THE DOWNTOWN PUBLIC LIBRARY!!!

This evening Kansas City newsie Steve Paul presented some of this town's greatest writers reading a rather EPIC collection of fiction written in an old school style.



For a fiction reading on a weekday night I was rather impressed with the turnout.



The local literary crowd sat in wrapped attention as authors spat a bit of cowtown neo-noir.



Also, we don't give a damn what Kirkus Reviews claims . . . Kansas City writer extraordinaire Nadia Pflaum has the best story in the book.

How do we know this?

Well, because TKC is rather rude and probably the very worst noir character Kansas City has ever seen . . . I thumbed through the copies availible for purchase and read most of the book while a line formed behind me.

No, I didn't buy a copy . . . But only because I'm on a blogger budget.
