SEN. CLAIRE McCASKILL IS STILL SITTING PRETTY WITH MANY MILLIONS MORE THAN TODD AKIN AND A HEFTY TV BUDGET THAT'S ALREADY HAMMERING AWAY AT HER LEGITIMATE COMPETITION!!!

As of late . . . Lady PAC Emily's List is powering Sen. Claire's cash influx and donations from the Left Coast and ladies all over the nation will keep Akin under her boot when it comes to fundraising.

The Kansas City Insider notes: "She just completed ANOTHER ad buy worth at least two million. That's more than what's left on Akin's FEC report. She's hammering away at him with critical ads and he isn't doing himself any favors by continuing to put his foot in his mouth."

And speaking of Missouri Democrats who are well endowed (ew) . . .



WITH A BIT MORE THAN $6.3 MIL ON HAND AFTER HIS 30-DAY REPORT . . . GOV. JAY HAS OUTMATCHED HIS OPPONENT BY MORE THAN A 4 TO 1 RATIO WHEN IT COMES TO CASH AND SOME POLLS HAVE HIM UP BY AT LEAST 20 POINTS!!!

The Kansas City Insider said . . . "It's not even close. Nixon has battered Dave Spence into near oblivion. That's why we've seen that so-called "whining" that you're complaining about Tony. APPARENTLY, MOST INSIDERS KNOW THAT SUSAN MONTEE'S GOV. LITE CAMPAIGN IS DOOMED!!!

The Gov. Lite Lady hopeful just didn't come up with the cash required to play at the Statewide table.

On this, our KC Politico Source tells us . . . "She's not running a real campaign, she won't get on TV in any significant way. This will be decided on name recognition and party politics. In fact, Montee's name is where Republicans start voting a straight GOP ticket."

WITH NEARLY $1 MILLION ON HAND, JASON KANDER HAS OUTGUNNED HIS OPPOSITION BY MORE THAN 3 TO 1 IN THE FUNDRAISING BATTLE!!!

However . . . A Kansas City Political Expert finds a bit of fault . . .

"Kander needs to start spending that money NOW!!! Argue with me all you want about the polling data Tony . . . His cash stockpile really isn't that much for this kind of race. It'll ONLY BUY HIM 2 WEEKS ON AIR STATEWIDE and after that there's NOTHING. All of the donations will go to the bigger races and he'll be lucky to afford cable bumps in Carthage. If Kander is serious about winning, he better start spending FAST."

Given that . . . We're happy to report that we've heard the Kander For MO Secretary of State campaign is soon to go live with more TV spots and he's already playing hardball with his GOP competition.

Still . . . The scuttlebutt among the sewing circle that is Kansas City politics says that Jason Kander is playing catch-up in the polls despite some impressive fundraising totals. Meanwhile sources inside the Kander campaign vehemently argue that the race is VERY close.

And all of this should reminds us, once again, that politics is about nothing more than money and bothering people trying to watch TV.
