And I'm not just talking about the fact that he dumped Sheryl Crow and might have somehow given her cancer.
And while Armstrong has stepped down as chairman he remains on the board and actively involved in the Livestrong organization.
There are a few d-bags who suggest that Livestrong does good work and it's not just branding tool aimed at promoting the legacy of an embattled cyclist accused of horrible and nasty cheating tactics by A GREAT MANY of his teammates.
However . . .
KANSAS CITY SPORTS ACTIVISTS REMIND US THAT LIVESTRONG WAS FOUNDED BY THE FRUITS OF LANCE ARMSTRONG'S ALLEGED MISDEEDS FOR WHICH HE HAS BEEN PUNISHED!!!
More reasons . . .
- The organization's title is based on Armstrong's (tarnished) name.
- Again, without Armstrong's alleged cheating there would be no publicity for the organization.
- The KCK Sporting Park is a family environment and the convoluted excuses of adults can't accurately be explained to young soccer fans. Won't somebody think of all the impressionable rugrats who only see a huge reward for alleged cheating!!!

Everything about this is ridiculous. Read a book about cycling. You will find NO sport dopes as much as cycling. They ALL dope. Lance was simply the best cyclist in a sport of dopers.

Let's not act like Lance was the only one doing it...to do so is childishly naive. Take a look at all the other riders who have already been caught/confessed – yep, amazingly, they rode for many different teams...so let's just admit we have spent about enough time on the sanctimonious soap box here...There were and are not innocent victims in pro-cycling...And as for these supposed "poor coerced victims" on his team, last time I looked, they were all adults and were free to make their own career decisions...
I tend to look at the world in shades of gray...and not try to draw a hard line and say everything must either be white or black. My point being, yes, what Lance did by founding Livestrong, and what Livestrong has done for the millions of people battling cancer is of far greater importance and than anything done on the bike. That shit is simply a sport...which is simply entertainment...it has no greater purpose in life. Saving lives and giving hope to those battling to save their life is much more important. Pity there aren’t more people willing to lead efforts like that. Don't you think?

I don't care what this guy was accused of doing while biking (and I still haven't seen the evidence) but Livestrong is about fighting cancer, not winning races. Sports activists, whatever the hell they are, are obviously too stupid to grasp that. Armstrong has devoted considerable time, effort and cash to fighting cancer. Leave him and the stadium name alone.
