"The Kansas City Spirit" Clip

Self-congratulatory promo-video from The KC Public Library:

The Kansas City Spirit: Stories of Service Above Self

Youtube Description:

"The Kansas City Spirit is the best of the human spirit," says Christopher Leitch, director of the Kansas City museum. Learn about the defining moments and historic personages that have shaped the Kansas City Spirit over the past 150 years, from the earliest settlers to modern-day greats like Buck O'Neil."

A nice thought but any accurate story of KC for the Internets should probably be a porno or at least a crappy action movie preview.

I'll give it the benefit of the doubt... but if there's no mention of Arthur Stilwell or Jacob Billikopf in this book I'm going to call bullshit on it.

That's what's going to make my upcoming book so awesome... I will shine light on some of Kansas City's greatest heroes that have been completely lost in our town's official narrative due to a spiteful relationship between the Kansas City Star and the Kansas City Journal

Tony, when I saw this I figured you'd be there for the opening. You know... free food and drink, etc. But then I saw that the lead sponsor was The Roasterie and I realized that you would never be seen in the company of such terrible, greedy people. Oh well, 'see you next time.
